mayweather vs mcgregor

We’re one step closer to a boxing mega-fight between unbeaten legend Floyd Mayweather and MMA’s biggest star, Conor McGregor. McGregor has come to a contractual agreement with the UFC and Dana White and the next step will be to finalize the terms with Mayweather. And that’s a huge step, but not impossible by any means. Mayweather likes money, and he stands to make a gang load of it against McGregor.

White broke the news to Shaq on Inside the NBA (cause that’s where you always break big fight news):

“The McGregor side is done,” White said. “I’m starting to work on the Mayweather side now.”

McGregor also released a statement on his website TheMacLife.com:

“It is an honor to sign this record-breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management,” McGregor said. “The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved.

“We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

The fight seems inevitable at this point. The once impossible dream now seems on the precipice of reality just as the lucky Irishman spoke it into existence. And now is he not only getting the biggest fight that the world has ever seen, bringing together the boxing and MMA worlds like never before, Mystic Mac actually believes he can win and that’s not to be considered lightly.
