UFC 202 round-by-round updates:
Alberto Uda vs. Marvin Vettori
Round 1 – Uda gets Vettori down but ends up on his back. Uda cuts Vettori up with elbows, but during a scramble Uda gets caught in a guillotine and is forced to tapout. Vettori’s UFC debut.

Colby Covington vs. Max Griffin
Round 1 – After trading a few strikes, Colby gets a takedown. Max looks for a kimura and rolls him over and they are back to their feet. Colby looking for the single as Griffin goes for that kimura again, but lets it go. Colby puts him on his back again, and takes full mount. Colby drops elbows and punches from half guard. Griffin is now cut from those elbows. Colby gets full mount before the bell. 10-9 Covington
Round 2 – Both guys land some nice strikes before Colby puts Max on his back again. Colby outwrestles him on the ground while continuously softening him up with punches. Griffin gets to his knees but Covington drags him back down and returns to full mount. Griffin bleeding pretty good now after getting cut with an elbow on his forehead. Two minutes to go. Griffin explodes out but Covington stays on him and continues the punishment. Colby lets him up eventually and they end the round trading shots. 10-8 Covington
Round 3 – Max lands a right hand but as he throws a leg kick Colby puts him on his back. Colby takes his back and returns to the pounding. Referee eventually stops it due to accumulation.

Neil Magny vs. Lorenz Larkin
Round 1 – Hard low kick from Larkin. Nice front kick to the body from Larkin knocks Magny against the cage and off balance. Another one, then a low kick. He pushes Magny to the cage and is roughing Magny up with Muay Thai, backs up after landing a nice elbow. Larkin with another leg kick. Magny looks lost. Hard low kick from Larkin. Two more calf kicks from Larkin and Magny is in trouble. He’s hopping around and Larkin is having his way. Another calf kick from Larkin and Magny’s leg is jacked. Larkin continues to assault the leg. Larkin’s shin has a big gash from landing all the kicks. Magny shoots in but Larkin lands a few elbows that put him out. Amazing defining performance for Larkin and made it look easy.

Randa Markos vs. Cortney Casey
Round 1 – Casey with a right hook counter. Low kick, then she controls Markos by the neck. Lands a left elbow but Markos dumps her on her head and is in side control with a schoolyard choke landing short punches. Casey beautifully takes her back and takes back mount landing elbows. Casey lands elbows, but Markos is able to get to top position briefly. Casey throws up an armbar and Markos taps out.

Artem Lobov vs. Chris Avila
Round 1 – Lobov pressing. Man that guy looks scary. He pushes Avila to the cage briefly, lands a left to the body. Body kick from Avila. Low kick Lobov. Again. Low kick Avila. Hard body kick from Lobov. Clinch briefly, again. Low kick from Avila. Lobov looking to land a big punch. Low kick Lobov. Low kick Lobov, again. Again, tearing that lead leg up of Avila. Left from Lobov after switching stances. Low kick. Lobov is a lot faster. Low kick from Lobov again. Straight left. Lobov continues to land punches and kicks. Leg kick from Avila. He seems tentative. They tie up briefly. Body kick from Lobov. Clinch and dirty boxing from both buys before the bell. 10-9 Lobov
Round 2 – Low kick from Lobov, again. Avila checks the next one. Avila misses an overhand right and they clinch briefly. Nice left to the body from Lobov. Nice right from Avila, then inside with a low kick. Jab from Avila scores. More of that. Body jab from Avila. Right from Avila who is more active this round by far. Avila flails for a takedown and gets shoved aside. Lobov with another hard leg kick. Overhand right and a left from Lobov. Hard low kick from Lobov. Again. Avila open hand slaps him a couple times and they’re jawing at each other. Hard low kick from Lobov. Clinch, knee to the body from Avila. Closer round. I could give it to Avila just for kicks but he was mostly backing up.
Round 3 – Hard low kick from Lobov. Right from Avila. Another low kick from Lobov. Another hard low kick from Lobov. Ref halts the action after Lobov suffers a cut on his head due to accidental head butt. It’s not that big a cut and we continue. Nice one two from Avila, takes a leg kick in return. Head kick from Avila. Low kick from Lobov. Lobov slips on a kick and Avila tries to take advantage with a little over a minute. Avila can’t keep him down though as Lobov goes for an ankle and Lobov is quickly up. 10-9 Lobov

Raquel Pennington vs. Elizabeth Phillips
Round 1 – Low kick from Phillips. Body kick from Rocky. Hard low kick from Phillips. Clinched against the cage trading knees. Phillips looking for a takedown. Knees to the body from Rocky are met by an elbow from Elizabeth. They trade more knees. Phillips breaks free as Rocky walks her down. Right and a knee to the body from Rocky. Big slam from Rocky as Phillips is warned for holding the fence. Phillips gets up and as Rocky picks her up for a slam Elizabeth jumps on a guillotine. She gets free before the bell. 10-9 Rocky
Round 2 – Low kick from Phillips. Low kick from Rocky as she pushes Phillips to the cage. Rocky locks on a guillotine as Phillips goes for a takedown. Rocky lets it go and gets to her feet. Phillips battles for a takedown. Rocky looks for a standing guillotine but Phillips breaks out. From the clinch a knee to the body from Rocky lands hard. Phillips pressing her to the cage looking for the takedown. Rocky continues to defend for quite a while landing the occasional hammerfist, punch and knee. Rocky suplexes her at the 15 second mark and pours it on with elbows until the bell. 10-9 Rocky
Round 3 – Inside low kick from Rocky. One two from Rocky lands solid. She ties Phillips up against the cage. Big takedown from Pennington and she takes Phillips’ back now with both hooks in. Rocky takes full mount and lands punches, then looks for an arm triangle but Phillips ends up on top in full guard. Phillips fights off a triangle/armbar attempt and they end the fight on the feet clinched against the cage. 10-9 Rocky

Cody Garbrandt vs. Takeya Mizugaki
Round 1 – Hard low kick from Cody. Left hook from Takeya and a hard low kick. Cody connects with a couple hooks, he drops Takeya with a solid right, then KO’s him once with an uppercut, then finishes him off with hammerfists before Big John is able to stop the beating.

Cody calls out Dominick Cruz after the match saying he knocked Mizugaki out faster than he did.
Tim Means vs. Sabah Homasi
Round 1 – Counter left by Means. Low kick from Homasi. Another. And another. Left from Means as he walks him down. Lands a combo and knee, Means uses a clinch for the takedown but ends up on bottom. Means gets to his feet, lands a punch combo. Homasi lands a couple shots but Means is walking him down again and scoring with punches. Homasi breathing deeply, but he’s able to score a takedown. Means elbows the back of Homasi’s arm to get up. Back up Means scores with punches and an elbow that cuts Homasi. Means pursuing, using his jab and elbows against the cage. Means continues the assault until the bell. 10-9 Means
Round 2 – Front kick and a straight right from Means. Knee to the body as he backs him to the cage. Front kick. Homasi already streaming blood down his forehead and over his face. Body kick from Homasi blocked and Means lights him up with punch combos and a measured assault against the cage, then backs off, not trying to rush it. Means just picking him apart now and Homasi is a bloody mess. More punches from Means, Homasi’s hands completely down and Herb Dean stops it.

Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Mike Perry
Round 1 – Heavy leg kicks from Perry. Lim much taller and longer. Perry sort of clotheslines Lim during an exchange and Lim goes down. Perry gets a mounted crucifix on him and is landing some good punches. Lim fights his way to his feet. Lead left hook from Perry. He drops Lim with the next shot. He looks out with the follow up but ref lets it go. Lim somehow is still fighting back and gets up. Lim throws a kick but is countered with an overhand left and Lim goes down and that’s that, Big John stops it.

Rick Story vs. Donald Cerrone
Round 1 – Low kick from Cowboy. Story in his face with pressure. Story tripling up on the left hands. Takedown from Cowboy. Story escapes to his feet eventually, pressing Cowboy to the cage. He gets a trip takedown on Cowboy but gets locked up in a triangle. Cowboy looks to switch to an armbar but Story escapes to side mount. Donald gives up his back, eats a couple shots. Knee to the body from Story. Cowboy escapes to his feet. Inside leg kick from Cowboy. Body kick from Story. Nice low kick from Cowboy. Slapping low kick from Story. Cowboy lights him up with kick-punch combo, ending with several punches. Inside low kick from Story. Left counter from Story. Donald with a left at the bell. 10-9 Cerrone
Round 2 – Knee to the body from Cowboy. Cowboy escapes a takedown attempt. Low kick and two right hooks from Cowboy. Low kick. Another low kick, knee to the body as Story lunges in. Low kick. Right to the body and head kick spins Story around. Cowboy stays on him with aggressive punches and Story goes down and out. Beautiful four-strike combo with pinpoint accuracy put Story down. Super impressive Cowboy!

Round 1 – AJ lands a right uppercut during their first exchange and Teixeira goes out cold. AJ lands a follow up but it’s not needed. Glover tries to grapple the ref upon waking.

Round 1 – Leg kicks from Conor already. Body jab from Nate. He takes another leg kick. Nate with a leg kick. Left hook from Conor. Another leg kick from the Irishman. Nate checks the next kick. Nate with some kick combos, body jab. Body head combo from Conor stuns Nate. Conor drops him with the next one. He lets Nate up. Lead hook from Nate. Body jab. Body shot from Conor. Leg kick from Conor. One two from Conor. Body head combo from Nate. Leg kick from Conor. Body shot from Conor. Hard leg kick from Conor, another. Another. Conor buckles his leg with a kick. Round 2 – Conor drops him with a left. He has him timed now and drops him again as he was trying to cover up. Nate bloodied up good now. Conor looking flawless. Nice body jab from Diaz. Conor still seems in control though. Nate walking him down, scores with some punches. Conor may be slowing. Tide shifting a bit. Nate feels the shift. Conor starts firing back and has Conor hurt, he touches the canvas and is back up. Nate has him agains the cage with under a minute to go. Conor fighting back. Round 3 – Conor still breathing pretty heavy. Jab from Nate. Body shot Conor. Nate pointing and laughing at him now, lands a combo and clinches up. This is wearing on the Irishman as we enter midpoint of the third round. Conor lands a hard combo, a leg kick. Left from Conor. Nate jawing at him, catches a spinning kick from Conor and presses him to the cage. Conor defends a takedown. Clinched against the cage. Nate turns him around. Conor running to get some space and Nate points and laughs. Conor’s breathing hard. Leg kick from Conor. They trade punches. Nate with a high kick. Nate pushes him to the cage and Nate lights him up with a huge combo. Nonstop pressure with Conor backed to the cage. Knees and punches from Nate. 10-9 Diaz … beautiful performance from Diaz!
Round 4 – Body jab from Nate, leg kick from Conor. Blood getting in Nate’s eye and Conor is touching him up. Nate blasts a combo inside. Jab from Conor, front kick from Conor. Leg kick from Conor. Elbows from Conor. Nate pushes him to the cage looking for the takedown. Nate’s face is becoming a problem with all the blood in his eyes. This guy is a warrior of incalculable proportions. Hard elbow from Conor in the clinch. Nate controlling him against the cage. Conor turns him around. Conor backs out with a combo. Nate stuns him with a left. Leg kick from Conor, body shot. Nate drops down for a double leg but can’t get Conor down. Close. Nate lands punch combo as Conor continues to walk away to get space. Nate flips him off. One two and a knee to the face from Nate. More dirty boxing from Nate as he presses Conor to the cage. Conor is able to turn him around and gets a brief trip. Nate pushes him to the cage with 30 seconds to go.
