roman reigns

Here we go again. According to our backstage rumor master we call “Steve”, Vince McMahon, despite fan praise for Reigns acting as a bad guy still refuses to budge on his quest to make Roman Reigns the face of the company.

Reigns is reportedly still held in the highest of regards by Vince and his yes men as the next face of the company. Without HHH caliber bad guys we have no one, and on Twitter fans have begging @WWE to make him that villain. He’s a monster, intimidating, and he is the perfect person to act as the big bad for the fans. Even though most of the guys in the back, according to Steve, also believe this to be true it will not happen unless Vince admits that Reigns as good guy champion is the reason for the ratings slide.

Contrary to reports of Dean Ambrose being champion because of the ratings slide, McMahon apparently believes that Reigns losing will make fans sympathetic to him, and we will accept him as the hard working, deserving hero. Nope. See John Cena as an example of a failed good guy and then just put Roman’s face on him.

Proof that Ambrose is not a long term champion is his lack of merchandise available to purchase. Reigns has been hand delivered merchandising, booking, and publicity. Ambrose is reportedly supposed to be a transition, an experiment to see if Reigns can use him to get in the good graces of fans. Even if Ambrose works there is still a solid plan in place to have Reigns win Royal Rumble and headline Wrestlemania – again. This cycle will probably continue until Vince McMahon is no longer alive or every single idea is exhausted.

WWE did not mute the boos at Money in the Bank because they realized that the negative media coverage and fan backlash was building for said muting. Despite the boos, McMahon still considers Reigns the star of the company.

Take these as rumors, and take them as simply that. Steve is reliable and I think we all can agree that this is pretty obvious in the way Reigns is shoved down our throats on TV.

  1. Vince is a total idiot if this is true and sad to say, I can see it happening. He’s simply going to destroy Roman’s career at this rate. They already tried using Dean multiple times to garner sympathy for Reigns, and it works when it’s Dean who’s the face, but then put the heel over to Reigns and you’ve got a new face and Reigns is still the heel. Heeeeellllloooo…. Does anybody remember those separate beatings both got from Triple H, and Detroit was roaring for Roman’s blood while Nashville was behind Dean all the way? No? What about Roadblock? All those times Dean was Roman’s cheerleader but actually his heat shield?

Vince made a huge mistake now. Reigns takes the title off Dean and he will be slaughtered, even beyond landing back at square one. Especially when the fans get wind that Dean was just used again and it’ll leave Reigns even lower than the least over babyface in the company’s history. Ratings will drop further than before, viewership will decline again and the A tour house shows that Reigns will headline will now be all but empty. And WWE will not have anyone to blame but themselves.

And Dean is in the top five sellers for merch. That’s BS that he doesn’t move any. If he has hardly any, that’s on WWE for not making him any new stuff. While he got maybe two new shirts over the last year, Reigns got five or more. How is that fair when comparing numbers? And Reigns was booed out of the building again on the post-MitB Raw, so no Vince, losing did not make him more sympathetic. You can tell already. Idiot. Reigns himself should actually be trying to make some changes here instead of being like a lamb lead to the slaughter. Soon it’ll be literally if WWE pulls this crap.
