Conor stepped aside from the featherweight (145 lbs) division in March for a showdown with Nate Diaz at welterweight (170 lbs). Nate ended up submitting Conor in the second round handing him his first UFC loss and the Irishman’s next move is not yet definite at this point. Rumors of a super fight against boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been circulating for weeks now, but most likely McGregor will be returning to the Octagon sometime later this year to either defend his title or rematch Diaz.
