Do you think Daniel Cormier is having mental struggles regarding a rematch with Jon Jones, and could you blame him?

Jon “Bones”  Jones and his UFC 197 opponent Ovince Saint Preux, along with co-headliners Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo took part in a conference call for the media on Friday.

Jones was asked if he’d like to fight Daniel Cormier at Madison Square Garden in November now that MMA is legalized in New York and the UFC has their first event booked for The Empire State.

“I would be honored to main event against Daniel Cormier at Madison Square Garden,” Jones stated matter-of-factly. “The question is, will Daniel Cormier accept that fight? Daniel Cormier is obviously having a lot of mental struggles when it comes to me and (laughing) that’s just one more thing that he doesn’t need. I’m sure he doesn’t want to fight me in my back yard because he needs all the mental points he can get. So who knows, I doubt he’d fight me at Madison Square Garden. But like I said, I’ll fight him wherever. Oklahoma State wrestling room, his living room, wherever.”

Cormier was supposed to fight Jones at UFC 197 on April 23rd but Cormier withdrew citing a foot injury and OSP is filling in.
