A gamer in Russia was so addicted to Fallout 4 that he lost his wife, his job, and his health deteriorated. Now the man is suing Bethesda for ruining his life by not providing a warning label on the game’s packaging. The man’s name remains private for legal reasons, but he made a statement.

If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, I would have become a lot more wary of it.  I would not have bought it, or I would have left it until I was on holiday or until the New Year holidays.

He’s 28 and from Krasnoyarsk and he went from playing the game for a couple evenings to completely tossing aside his real life for the game world for three straight weeks.

He sued Bethesda for 500,000 rubles which is essentially $7K US dollars. Not much of a sum for claiming it destroyed his life, but it is considered a sort of test case to see what the court system will do in a case like this.

Look out Blizzard. You could be next.
