phoenix jones comic

Any respectable superhero needs their own comic book. That’s a given. And Seattle superhero / pro mixed martial arts fighter Phoenix Jones (aka Ben Fodor) is no different. The World Series of Fighting crime buster has been helping keep the streets of Seattle safe for several years and has now been honored with his own comic. The stories are real life tales from the streets Jones has experienced.

Right now the Phoenix Jones comic is only available from Mill Geek Comics in Seattle, but if you’re close by, you should definitely pick this up. This announcement was posted to their website:

Seattle Area Exclusive!

This is a comic adaptation of real life Seattle Superhero PHOENIX JONES’ experience patrolling the Seattle streets. It is gritty, raw and truthful. This comic does not pull any punches and doesn’t sugar coat anything.

Jones has compared fighting crime to competing in mixed martial arts and believes it’s easier.

“Crime fighting isn’t harder than MMA for me. Criminals aren’t as dedicated as MMA fighters are. The average MMA fighters could beat up most criminals with some preparation. Actual crime fighting against guys with no training isn’t that hard. You just have to figure out where crimes are going to take place, how I should approach things and how to stop them.”

After a spectacular amateur career, Jones currently holds a pro MMA record of 6-1-1 and is coming off a first round leg scissors choke submission of Roberto Yong at WSOF 23 in September.

Good luck out there on the streets Phoenix and we hope to see your comic book in a store near us soon.
