Prestige FC1 poster final

Prestige FC 1: Atonement took place over the weekend in front of more than 1,600 fans at Crescent Point Place in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. In the headliner UFC vet Mike “Biggie” Rhodes (8-4) submitted late welterweight replacement Taki Uluilakepa (4-2-1) with a rear-naked choke after hurting him with a knee near the end of round three.

In the co-headliner former MFC lightweight title contender Kurt “The Hurt” Southern (14-6) made a successful featherweight debut by submitting Daniel “Agent Orange” Swain (14-6-1) with a guillotine choke about halfway through the first round. Swain repeatedly took Southern down but ended up getting caught in the submission and quickly tapped.

In a women’s 165-pound catchweight bout Charmaine “No So Sweet” Tweet (7-5) stopped Anna “Smiles” Barone (2-5) via TKO in a tie-breaker in front of her hometown crowd. Tweet is expected to return to Invicta FC for a fight in December after being given the opportunity to fight in her home Province under the Prestige FC banner.
