UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is looking to help the UFC out again according to UFC officials. UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler is injured and forced to withdraw from his upcoming title defense against Carlos Condit. The bout was supposed to headlined UFC 193 in Australia, now Rousey will become the new main event with her title defense against Holly Holm which has been moved from UFC 195 that was set to take place in January 2015.

UFC 193 will take place at the 70,000 seat Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on November 14 (November 15 in Australia).

UFC President Dana White made the announcement on ESPN’s Sportscenter on Friday night:

“Ronda Rousey was huge for us in Brazil,” White said of Rousey’s UFC 190 win over Bethe Correia in Rio de Janeiro. “She was well received there and it was just a phenomenal event. It did very well on Pay-Per-View here in the United States, and she’s obviously a huge superstar for us. Australia’s an important market for us, so we’re gonna bring her out there in our first real big stadium show, and we know she’ll break the (all-time MMA attendance) record out there.”

Lawler suffered a thumb injury and it’s not clear as to how long his recovery will take or when the bout with Condit will be re-scheduled.
