UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about a variety of topics, including her upcoming title defense against Bethe Correira. Rousey likens the bout to the movie Rocky IV because she’ll be traveling into the home country of Correira the same way Rocky went Russia to fight Drago. Rousey said, “I just wanted to beat her in the most devastatingly and embarrassing way possible, so I wanted to do it in front of her home people.” Check out all she has to say in the video below:
The fight will take place at UFC 190 on August 1. Correira (8-0) is undefeated and has beaten two of Rousey’s protege’s in Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Bazler. However, unlike Rocky going to fight Drago, Rousey is a huge betting favorite to beat Correira with many believeing Correira having no shot at winning.
