The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night to clinch that first spot in the NBA finals in forever. However, starting shooting guard Klay Thompson suffered concussion like symptoms after getting blasted by a flying knee from Houston’s Trevor Ariza. Check the footage below:
The knee was probably inadvertent, unlike some of the dirty plays from Ariza’s teammate Dwight Howard, but the knee was reminiscent of BJ Penn catching Sean Sherk with a flying knee at UFC 84 in 2008 with the same result. The Warriors will face Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The series will begin Thursday, June 4th.
