Following Daniel Cormier’s win over Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at UFC 187 last weekend, the Olympian sent a message to former champion Jon “Bones” Jones to get his sh*t together and that he’d be waiting for him. Jones was stripped of the title and placed on indefinite suspension until he gets all his legal troubles sorted out after fleeing the scene of an accident last month in Albuquerque, N.M.
There’s really no telling when Jones will be back in action at this point so Cormier’s first title defense will likely be against Ryan Bader sometime later this year. The two exchanged heated words at the UFC 187 post-fight press conference and had to be separated by UFC officials.
