UFC 186: Johnson vs. Horiguchi takes place tonight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada and features a flyweight championship bout between reigning title-holder Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (21-2-1) and Japanese knockout artist Kyoji Horiguchi (15-1). Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (35-11) makes his promotional return against heavy-handed Fabio Maldonado (22-7) in the co-main event.

Round 1 – Leg kick and right hand from Markos. Daly with a leg kick but gets tagged with a counter punch. Markos ends up taking Daly’s back after countering a takedown. Markos has both hooks in, moves to top control and locks up an arm triangle from half guard. Markos gets to side mount with the choke. Daly survives and gets to her feet and scores a takedown before the bell. 10-9 Markos
Round 2 – Daly with a body kick, right hand. Right hook from Markos. Right from Daly. She presses Markos to the cage, drops levels looking for the takedown, and gets it. Daly is unable to hold her down. Markos gets up and uses a hip toss to take Daly down head first into the canvas. Markos tries working from side mount but Daly gets to her feet and presses Markos back to the cage. Daly gets Markos back down and cuts her open and is working the ground and pound from North-South. Letourneau locks up a triangle, Rakoczy tries slamming her way out but just makes it tighter. She also has a straight armbar but Rakoczy escapes. Back to the feet, Letourneau gets Rakoczy back to the canvas. Rakoczy tries to sweep and ends up on top. Valerie goes for a leg lock but Rakoczy pulls out and takes top control in half guard. Here’s the most important thing. Quinton cut probably the best MMA promo I’ve ever seen after his interview. I don’t even know what he said aside from “I’m back” and something about repping Memphis but it was amazing. Who is this guy? His fighting looks the best I remember. His boxing is off the richter. Seriously. And he looks like a heavyweight. He should fight at heavyweight. He looks huge. But the promo he cut was absolutely tremendous. Watch it if you can. I’ll try to find it. Side mount. Horiguchi scrambles to his feet but DJ immediately puts him back down. Back to side control. With 1:11 left DJ takes his back but can’t hold it. Knee to the body from DJ, again as they stand. Another takedown from DJ. Side mount with crucifix. DJ is teeing off with right hands and elbows. In the final seconds of the bout DJ transitions to an armbar and gets the tap in the final second of the match at 4:59 of the 5th round… the latest stoppage ever according to Joe Rogan. Very impressive.
