Troll

It is no secret that fan boys see things with blinders on. Need an example? Whenever Shogun fights this happens on the forums:

“Shogun’s knees…”

“Shogun wasn’t himself”

“He hurt his appendage”

“He would have won the fight if it wasn’t for that blow to the back of his head…”

So, here we are after UFC on FOX 15 and the whining fan boys are at it again. Luke Rockhold put on a clinic against former UFC champion Lyoto Machida and won their bout decisively, and in style. Still, that didn’t stop the whining on the forums and denial that runs deep with hardcore MMA nerds. Check out these posts…

anotherusername posted:

I know he was winning the standup before the slip, but what concerns me is that he did not recover between rounds. He came out in round 2 looking like a zombie. A fighter in his prime would have recovered more.

Pretty much every fan boy posts that their fighter was winning and the only reason they lost was because of some issue other than the other fighter was better.
redd1 sobbed about Luke Rockhold’s crushing elbows to Machida’s dome:
Potentially to the back of the head, though I haven’t seen a replay to really tell where it landed.
Then he sent in the waaaaambulance again to defend his karate love interest in typical fashion. Discredit his oponnent’s offense, but give him a little credit. The elbows were amazing BUT they were potentially illegal:
It looked like it hit above the ear, either way that s— was hard.
Then Northofamerica masterfully pointed out that it was because Machida is vertically challenged next to Rockhold:
I was amazed at how small he was compared to Rockhold…
Listen, I got these tame quotes from a safe forum just to be safe myself, but the other ones out there were scary with rabid fan boys.
FACT: Luke Rockhold outclassed, out scrapped, out strategically planned, and flat out dominated Lyoto Machida overall. No amount of denial can change that.
