This super slow motion video of Ronda Rousey’s 14-second armbar submission win over Cat Zingano at UFC 184 is quite revealing. There are certain intricacies of the fight that can easily be overlooked watching the fight at full speed. Notice Cat’s ill-fated bum rush knee strike attempt, how Ronda avoids it and uses her momentum to roll Cat over, Ronda’s transition to the back, how she is able to trap the arm, and the finish. It looks like the precision work of a fine artist or a mathematician quickly solving some quantum theory. It’s the fast swish of the Samurai’s blade rapidly beheading his foe. It’s a chef making salad. It’s the UFC women’s bantamweight champ doing what she was born to do.

  1. Cat left her arm out too long…the way she waved her arm around trying o throw her from the back was like an engraved invitation.

Too long of an engraved invitation for Rousey anyway.

  2. Let the Brazilian enjoy her fame on Rousy’s coat tails until August. I really like the Brazilian, but really? She’s gonna beat the Queen of MMA? weee……

  3. shit, I’m writing this with the hugest anal abcess my county as ever seen….It will take 5 rolls of that thin spanish paper just to make my sphincter stop oozing.
