The upcoming UFC Manila event that’s set for May 16 had two bouts added to the lineup on Monday. A middleweight scrap between Gegard Mousasi and Costa Philippou, and a welterweight scrap between Neil Magny and Hyun Gyu Lim was announced by UFC officials.

The UFC Manila event will be headlined by the highly anticipated fight between former champions Frankie Edgar and Urijah Faber. The event will air on FOX Sports 1 from the Mall of Asia Arena.

Mousasi (36-5-2) is coming off a first round TKO win over Dan Henderson in his last outing. Mousasi has alternated wins and losses since moving back to middleweight last year.

Philippou (13-4, 1NC) is coming off a KO win over Lorenz Larkin in his last outing in May 2014. Philippou has dropped back-to-back fights for the first time in his career after rattling off five consecutive wins from between 2011-2012.

Magny (14-3) is one of the hottest welterweights in the UFC, winning his last six consecutive fights with three finishes. Magny is coming off a “Performance of the Night” in his latest submission win over Kiichi Kunimoto last month.

Lim (13-4-1) is coming off a TKO win over Takenori Sato in his last outing in September 2014. Lim is currently (3-1) in the UFC with the lone loss coming against former Strikeforce welterweight champion Tarec Saffiedine.
