So here we go again. Chael P. Sonnen, the Unofficial UFC Middleweight Champion of the multi-verse is rumored again to be going to WWE. This time there seems to be more meat to the story than in the past. Chael says it’s happening and sources like Dave Meltzer say it is happening, but our source (90% accuracy so far) says it’s not even close to occurring.

Here’s what Chael said on Off the Record.

I got a call. WWE said, ‘Look, we’ve got WrestleMania. We’ve got a Hall of Fame show coming up. If you want to come out…come on out. We want to talk to you about some stuff.

Let’s be honest. Sonnen would bring excitement to WWE. If he was a commentator like some speculate his role might be it would probably be the best case scenario. Have Sonnen get involved physically with other performers from time to time, but his gift of gab would fix the stupid of Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, and JBL’s male The View impression. Sonnen would bring UFC fans to the table.

WWE backed off pursuing Sonnen when he tested positive for steroids according to some.  WWE pretty much waited until they felt the PED label had worn off. Once ESPN worked with Sonnen the people claiming Sonnen is headed to WWE say this is why. They wanted the stigma of cheater and shamed fighter gone before doing business with him.

The speculation on why WWE may be interested in talking with the two  is supposedly training him in professional wrestling to having a possible exhibition fight. Someone mentioned a match in WWE between Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen. Survey says…WRONG.

The guy we deal with who knows the real deal almost all of the time says that WWE has zero interest. In fact, WWE released the following statement when contacted about Sonnen’s claims WWE wants him at this year’s Wrestlemania.

There has been no invitation from WWE for Chael Sonnen to attend WrestleMania.
