LAPD homicide detectivesstated that actress-dancer Stephanie Moseley, from VH1’s cheerleader drama Hit The Floor, was shot to death Monday by her husband, rapper Earl Hayes, in a murder-suicide. She was only 30 years old. Police were called to an apartment in the Park La Brea section of Los Angeles about 7:30 AM, and heard shots being fired from inside. SWAT officers found both victims dead in what can only be considered a tragedy.

VH1 said Moseley was  to return for Season 3, renewed in July.  VH1 released a standard, stock statement upon hearing the terrible news.

We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley. VH1 and the entire Hit The Floorfamily send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.

Stephanie was a backup dancer on Britney Spears and Janet Jackson tours in the past and also performed with stars like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Usher.
