Mexico gets its first UFC event tonight with “UFC 180: Werdum vs. Hunt”. Top-ranked heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt face off for the interim heavyweight title in the main event, while top-tier welterweights Jake Ellenberger and Kelvin Gastelum square off in the co-headliner. The card also includes the featherweight and bantamweight finals for TUF Latin America.

Early prelims kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, moving to Fox Sports 1 prelims at 8 p.m. ET, and the PPV main card at 10 p.m. ET.

UFC 180 round-by-round updates:
170 lbs: Jake Ellenberger vs. Kelvin Gastelum
Round 1 – After taking a couple big shots later in the round, Gastelum takes Ellenberger down. He gets back up and ends up suplexing Gastelum, but he hits a counter and takes Ellenberger’s back, locks in the choke and Ellenberger taps out with 4 seconds left in the round.

265 lbs: Mark Hunt vs. Fabricio Werdum
Round 1 – Hunt drops and hurts Werdum early with a couple big punches. Hunt survives in Werdum’s guard. Werdum keeps coming forward despite taking some big shots at the end of the round. Werdum’s corner telling him not to stand in front of Hunt.
Round 2 – Hunt drops Werdum again with a right about a minute in. Werdum survives and is able to hurt Hunt with a big step-in knee to the face and follows it up for the TKO win. Huge win for Werdum after getting hurt early on. Great comeback. Don’t sleep on this guy against Velasquez.
