The UFC 179 PPV event is slated to take place on October 25 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will look to take out challenger Chad Mendes for the second time. The co-main event will feature a light heavyweight bout between Brazilian Glover Teixeira and Phil Davis.
Aldo knocked out Mendes in the first round at UFC 142 to defend his UFC featherweight title. However, Mendes has rattled off five consecutive wins(5 via TKO/KO) to earn another crack at the world’s best featherweight fighter. Check out the UFC 179 extended video preview in the player below:
