UFC officials have announced that a lightweight matchup between Ross Pearson and Al Iaquinta will be the co-main event for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 55. The event will be headlined by the middleweight scrap between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold, and will take place on November 8 at the AllPhones Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Pearson (16-7, 1NC) is coming off a second round TKO win over Gray Maynard in his last outing in August. Pearson was coming off a performance where he was absolutely robbed of a unanimous decision win against Diego Sanchez and a no contest against Melvin Guillard.
Iaquinta (9-3-1) is coming off a third round TKO win against Rodrigo Damm in his lasting outing. Iaquinta was coming off a submission loss against Mitch Clarke in his previous outing, but had won three consecutive fights before that loss.
