The UFC had been promoting the opportunity for fans to vote and get UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis on the cover of the iconic Wheaties cereal box. It looks like the fans delivered on their end as it now appears that Pettis will become the first MMA fighter ever on the cover of the box.

Pettis will appear of the next season of “The Ultimate Fighter” as a coach opposite of his next opponent, former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez. The two will face off against one another on a UFC card later this year. It will be the first official title defense for the champion who hasn’t defended his title since winning it from Ben Henderson at UFC 164 which took place over a year ago.
