It’s common knowledge now that Duane “Dog” Chapman (aka “Dog The Bounty Hunter”) is on the trail of former Bellator and UFC fighter War Machine (Jon Koppenhaver) for his alleged involvement in a domestic abuse incident in Las Vegas that left porn star and ex-girlfriend, Christy Mack, beaten badly and sent to the hospital.

Dog has quite a few ties to the MMA world and he made a point on Headline News (HLN) Wednesday to explain that War Machine does not represent what the majority of mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters are all about.

While there have been some domestic abuse cases in MMA over the years, it doesn’t stand out as being any more prevalent than in any other sport. But because the mainstream media doesn’t cover MMA that often, the general public could see this case and think War Machine is representative of the culture of the sport.

Fortunately, there are guys like UFC fighters John “Doomsday” Howard, Diego Sanchez and Uriah Hall, who are speaking out against the actions of War Machine. Hopefully more will do the same.

As of now, War Machine is still on the run. We will keep you updated as soon as he is captured. It’s only a matter of time at this point.
