After three appearances inside the Bellator cage, War Machine (aka Jon Koppenhaver) is out of a job. The 32-year-old TUF 6 veteran was released by the promotion after news surfaced Friday (via TMZ) that he was wanted by Las Vegas police for an alleged domestic altercation that sent two individuals to the hospital with “severe” injures, including one described as his “significant other”.
Bellator President Scott Coker issued the following statement:
“We have a zero tolerance policy here at Bellator when it relates to any form of domestic violence, and after learning of this latest incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from him promotional contract with the organization.”
It’s common knowledge War Machine has been involved with porn actress Christy Mack over the last couple years and even had her name tattooed on his neck. Whether or not she was the “significant other” described in the report is not known at this time. However, she did cancel a scheduled appearance for this weekend at the Art & Ink Show at South Point Casino citing a “personal emergency”.

War Machine also took to Twitter early Friday, with one lone cryptic tweet:
