UFC officials have confirmed three new fights for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 50 event that’s slated for September 5 in Connecticut. A middleweight bout between Gegard Mousasi (35-4-2) and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (20-3 1NC) will now serve as the main event after being moved from the now cancelled UFC 176 event.

Also, a heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem (37-13, 1NC) and Ben Rothwell (33-9) has been verbally agreed upon. Finally, a heavyweight bout between Matt Mitrione (7-3) and Derrick “The Beast” Lewis (11-2, 1NC) will take place on the card.

The card thus far is below:

  • Gegard Mousasi vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza
  • Joe Lauzon vs. Micaael Chiesa
  • Sean Soriano vs. Andre Fili
  • Alistair Overeem vs. Ben Rothwell
  • Matt Mitrione vs. Derrick Lewis
