WWE Diva Emma was arrested Monday in Hartford, Connecticut, before that night’s RAW. According to local paper, The Courant, she was arrested for shoplifting.
The Police say Tenille Dashwood, WWE name Emma, has been charged with sixth-degree larceny after she stole an item from Wal-Mart at 495 Flatbush Avenue, about three miles away from the site of Monday’s WWE event at the XL Center. The theft was reported to police at around 1:00 p.m. and she was released later shortly after 2 PM.
Emma appeared in community court on Tuesday and according to her lawyer, Hubert Santos, she was ordered to participate in community service. Santos said Emma’s arrest was simply a mistake. He told the The Courant that she used the self-checkout machine at Wal-Mart when she purchased $30 of items, but forgot to pay for a case for an electronic device.
Her on-screen romance with Santino Marella has been a comical affair. The pair has competed in dance-offs, mixed tag matches, and back stage segments. On Monday’s RAW, Marella was having a “backyard party” set up in the XL center promoting a new adult beverage sponsor, Twisted Tea. During this segment, Santino joked about Emma not being present and with this news emerging the joke seems more like an inside joke.

UPDATE: Emma was fired by the WWE, but after an evaluation of the situation she was re-hired as of today.
