Also, top welterweights Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley square off in the co-main event to determine who moves ahead toward a title shot.

155 lbs: Jason Saggo vs. Josh Shockley

Round 1 – Saggo is able to get Shockley to the ground with multiple takedowns, takes full back mount with seconds left in the round and pounds Shockley out with punches. Great UFC debut for Saggo.

135 lbs: Roland Delorme vs. Michinori Tanaka

Round 1 – Delorme drops Tanaka with a punch, gets mount, but gets swept. Tanaka works ground and pound from inside guard and stays on top for the rest of the round. PMN sees it 10-9 for Tanaka.

Round 2 – Nice right from Tanaka. Again. Nice movement from Tanaka, avoiding most of Delorme’s shots. Tanaka with a trip takedown, workin the ground and pound again. Tanaka gets to mount, lands a nice elbow. Delorme is able to recover guard but Tanaka stays heavy on top, landing elbows and punches. PMN sees it 10-9 Tanaka.

Round 3 – Leg kick Tanaka. Body lock takedown from Tanaka. Delorme tries to sweep, and is able to get to full mount, doesn’t last long though as Tanaka is now on top back in his full guard and landing shots. Delorme’s face busted up. Tanaka landing more elbows. Delorme almost gets to his feet with 30 seconds left but Tanaka stays heavy on him until the end. PMN sees it 10-9 and 30-27 for Tanaka.

155 lbs: Tae Hyun Bang vs. Kajan Johnson

Round 1 – Right hand from Johnson. Lands a head kick but Bang walks through it. Single leg takedown from Johnson, takes side mount. Bang reverses and gets to his feet. They go to slugging it out. Johnson gets dropped with a left. Bang riding his back. Johnson rolls for a leg, and they are back up. Nice left hook from Johnson. Left, right from Bang. Big right from Johnson. They tie up and Johnson gets a trip takedown with 30 seconds left in the round. Johnson on top in side mount. Bang is able to get to his feet before the round ends. PMN sees it 10-9 Johnson

Round 2 – Front kick from Johnson. Leg kick. Jab. Left right from Bang wobbles Johnson. He shoots in, gets caught in a guillotine, Johnson is free but is on his back with Bang inside guard. Johnson goes for a heel hook during a scramble, but Bang is free. Both guys are bleeding as it goes back to the feet. PMN sees it 10-9 for Johnson

Round 3 – Jab, then a hard right from Bang knocks Johnson off balance. Johnson shoots in, stuffed. Jab from Bang. Head kick attempt from Johnson, but Bang catches it and counters with an overhand right thad knocks Johnson out.

135 lbs: Mike Easton vs. Yves Jabouin

Round 1 – Easton takes an eye poke that halts the action early. Easton comes out swinging and throwing leg kicks. Easton lands two big right hands but Jabouin puts him on his back with a takedown. Jabouin inside full guard but not doing anything. Jabouin postures up with a right, Easton gets to his feet, Jabouin still pressing him to the cage. Trip takedown from Jabouin but he’s right back up. Knee to the body from Jabouin, they fight in the clinch until Jabouin puts Easton back down on his back. Elbow from Jabouin before Easton explodes to his feet. Jab from Jabouin, Easton is able to stuff a takedown and end up on top but Jabouin gets to his feet and they exchange punches, knees and kicks before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for Easton.

Round 2 – Left hook, front kick from Jabouin. Jab, body kick, uppercut, left hook, jab. He’s out-striking Easton now with the more technical game. Leg kick, then takedown attempt from Easton, Jabouin stuffs it and ends up riding Easton’s back. Easton back to his feet, but quickly gets tripped back to the mat. Easton back up, lands a couple knees to the body. Jabouin turns him around, lands some nice shots, a big right hand, another one, clinches up and puts Easton on his back. Jabouin postures up with punches. Stalemate. Ref stands them up. They trade some big punches and kicks, both guys slugging it out. PMN sees it 10-9 Jabouin

Round 3 – Mike Easton has lost his last three fights. He’s almost certainly going to be cut if he loses this fight. After some initial strike exchanges, Easton looking for the takedown against the cage. They trade punches and knees in the pocket. Jabouin getting the better of it, he puts Easton on his back with a double leg — his fifth takedown of the fight. He now has Easton’s back with one hook in. Easton uses a kimura to sweep with 90 seconds left. Lets it go, now in side mount. Jabouin recovers full guard and ties Easton up until the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 and 29-28 for Jabouin

135 lbs: Valerie Letourneau vs. Elizabeth Phillips

Round 1 – Mostly boxing. Phillips got the better of the striking except for a couple head kicks landed by Letourneau. Letourneau’s left eye is messed up pretty badly, almost swollen shut. PMN sees it 10-9 Phillips

Round 2 – Letourneau getting the better of the striking this round as Phillips slowing down. Letourneau proving to be the more technical of the two. PMN sees the round for Letourneau 10-9

Round 3 – Phillips looks for the takedown, stuffed. Letourneau teeing off with punch combos. Clinched against the cage, Phillips pressing on her. Nice knee from Letourneau as she then breaks free. Nice right from Letourneau. Nice left and a leg kick. They slug it out before the bell. PMN has it 10-9 and 29-28 for Letourneau

170 lbs: Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Daniel Sarafian

Round 1 – Jab and a leg kick from Kunimoto. He presses Sarafian to the cage. Trip takedown from Kunimoto. He takes Sarafian’s back during a scramble and chokes him out.

Round 1 – OSP looked almost too calm and relaxed. Leg kick from Jimmo inside. Big body kick from OSP. Jimmo looks for the big right. Big left from OSP backs Jimmo to the cage. Leg kick and a big left from OSP. Nice right from Jimmo. Clinches up to OSP against the cage. Jimmo trying to do work against the cage. OSP turns him around, looking for the single. Jimmo turns him back around as they battle for position. Jimmo backs out. OSP swings big and misses. Jimmo blocks a high kick. Inside leg kick from Jimmo. Overhand left from OSP. Leg kick. Left from Jimmo. Leg kick Jimmo. OSP checks a body kick. Body kick from Jimmo, leg kick. Left hand from OSP, gets a takedown and rides Jimmo’s back, lands a punch before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 OSP.

Round 2 – Leg kick Jimmo, right hand follows. High kick from OSP blocked. OSP catches a kick and puts Jimmo on his back. OSP on top in half guard. Now in full mount. Jimmo gives up his back. Both hooks in. OSP looking for the choke, one hook in. Jimmo gets to his knees. Jimmo says his arm is broken while OSP is yanking Jimmo’s arm behind his back.

265 lbs: Andrei Arlovski vs. Brendan Schaub

Round 1 – Schaub looking a little soft around the belly. Arlovski throws a couple short lefts before clinching up against the cage and pressing on Schaub, throwing some knees. Over/under from Arlovski. Arlovski backs out. Overhand right and a left from Schaub. Leg kick from Arlovski. Clinched, Arlovski presses him to the cage. Arlovski backs out after Schaub pushes him out toward the center. Schaub with  a punch combo and overhand right that just misses. Kick to the knee from Arlovski. He goes for a clinch/ trip but Schaub defends it. Overhand right from Schaub lands more from his wrist, clinched against the cage. Arlovski backs out. Schaub goes for a takedown before the bell, stuffed. Close round. Too close to score really.

Round 2 – They want more jabs and angles from Arlovski. Schaub takes a kick to the groin and time is called. Schaub keeps going for the overhand right. Arlovski looking to counter. Body shot and a left uppercut from Arlovski that snaps Schaub’s head back. This initiates a clinch as Arlovski presses him to the cage. Schaub breaks out but eats a right. Overhand right again from Schaub, lands on the wrist again. Schaub cut under his left eye a little, and some swelling under his right eye. Left hook to the body from Arlovski counters an overhand. Overhand right from Schaub. He presses Arlovski to the cage. Boos from the crowd. Schaub fights for a takedown but Arlovski right back up. Right hand from Schaub, very telegraphed. Big right uppercut from Schaub. Arlovski eats it. Clinch, Arlovski backs out. Overhand right from Arlovski at the bell. Another very close round. I’m leaning toward Schaub because of that big uppercut. Schaub’s corner telling him it’s 1-1.

Round 3 – Arlovski has a chin. Replay shows that uppercut from Schaub was dead on to the jaw and Arlovski just ate it. Left hook from Arlovski catches Schaub coming in. Goldy calling Big John “bossy”. LOL. Schaub gets a body lock takedown, inside the full guard of Arlovski. Schaub bleeding all over Arlovski’s chest as he tries to work the ground and pound. Hard body shots from Schaub. Can’t land anything significant to the head though. He’s at least winning this round though with 90 seconds to go. More body shots from Schaub. Hammerfists from Schaub and Arlovski springs to his feet with one minute to go. Schaub presses him to the cage. Arlovski turns him around. Arlovski backs out. They look to swing it out before the bell, everything just missing. Schaub’s jaw is swollen badly, looks broken. PMN sees final round 10-9 for Schaub and the fight (likely) 29-28 for Schaub. Schaub definitely looks worse for the wear though.

Andrei said after the bout he’s never been so nervous before a fight; said his legs and hands were shaking. Not the most exciting win, but he beat a legit dude even though it was very close.

205 lbs: Ryan Bader vs. Rafael Cavalcante

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Leg kick inside from Feijao. Left jab from Bader. Bader with the takedown, Feijao right back up. Bader with a body lock from the back landing knees to the legs, picks Feijao up for another takedown. He’s back up, and Bader is landing more knees to the legs, trips Feijao back down. Back up, and more knees. Trips him down once more. Back up, and more knees, hard knees to the back of the thigh. Feijao keeping one hand on the ground. Back up now. Jab from Bader. Front kick to the leg from Bader. Left hook from Feijao. Stiff jab from both guys connect. Bader with a powerful takedown. Feijao gets to his knees, eating some shots to the side of the head and body. Huge knee to the body from Bader before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 Bader

Round 2 – Nice spinning back kick from Feijao scores. Bader goes for the takedown, stuffed. Brief clinch, Bader then shoots again, stuffed. Clinch, Bader backs out. Bader throws a left right then scores another takedown. Elbow from Bader. Feijao gets to a knee. Bader working his legs with knees. Knee right to the tail bone. Another. Feijao gets up and Bader gets some distance. Left hook, straight right from Bader. Left hook, right to the body from Bader. Bader with a right, takedown attempt and another right on the break. Jab from Feijao. Right to the body from Bader. Again. Bader with another takedown. Inside guard, Bader works the ground and pound for the final seconds. PMN sees it 10-9 Bader. Feijao looks defeated in his eyes.

Round 3 – Feijao’s corner tells him he’s not doing anything, throw some punches and show some heart. Touch gloves. Big left hook and a right from Feijao scores. Bader shoots in, stuffed. He backs out. Feijao looking for the KO as he comes forward swinging. Bader shoots in, stuffed. Hard elbows to the head of Bader as he presses Feijao to the cage. Bader gets pushed and stumbles to the mat. Back up, shoots in and presses Feijao to the cage. Ref separates them. Bader throws an overhand left that’s blocked, he then shoots, stuffed. Bader continues to work for it and puts Feijao on his back. Body shots from Bader as the final 2 minutes wind down. Feijao gets full guard. Bader works the ground and pound. Bader remains on top and in control the rest of the round. PMN sees it as a complete shut out for Bader.

170 lbs: Rory MacDonald vs. Tyron Woodley

Round 1 – For the record, I’m picking Woodley to win this. Chants for Rory. Clinch, knee to the body from Woodley, he presses Rory to the cage. Gives him another knee, foot stomp. Another knee to the body, then knees to the inside of the thighs. They break. Rory flashing the jab. Body kick from Woodley. Body kick from Woodley. Rory being very aggressive. Body kick. Front kick. Clinch, knee to the body from Rory as Tyron tries for the takedown. Woodley presses him to the cage. Rory escapes. Woodley catches a kick, lands a couple nice rights then gets a takedown. But Rory explodes to his feet right away. Front kick from Rory. Right to the body. Woodley slowing a bit. One two from Rory, high kick checked. Front kick from Rory, then lands a nice combo. PMN sees it 10-9 for Rory.

Round 2 – Rory pressing already. Counter right from Woodley. Rory looks for a single, stuffed. Big leg kick from Woodley. Again. Big leg kick from Woodley. Head kick from Rory scores. Body shot. Huge body kick from Rory. Woodley being too conservative. Two overhands from Woodley blocked. Takedown attempt stuffed. Rory lights him up with a punch combo. Front kick from Rory. Body kick. Woodley is doing NOTHING. Rory keeping the pressure on him so he can’t breathe or rest. Left hook from Rory. Jab, jab, body jab, then a head kick. Woodley’s back to the cage this whole time. Body shot from Rory. Overhand right from Rory stuns Woodley. Body jab from Rory. PMN sees it 10-9 for Rory.

Round 3 – Woodley coming out more aggressive looking for the big one. Lans an overhand right. Woodley working the jab now. Jab from Rory. Big leg kick from Woodley. Rory pressing. He catches a leg kick and lands a counter left. Front kick from Rory. Spinning back kick from Rory, then a body shot. They trade jabs. Rory ducks a punch for a takedown. Now he has Woodley on his back, inside full guard. Woodley hanging on trying to keep him tight. Rory can’t even free his hands. He finally gets out and stands over him and tries to land a shot, Rory lays on him in side mount. Rory landing some nice shots here as he has Woodley’s arm tied up with his leg. PMN sees it a complete shut out 10-9 and 30-27. Woodley just looked like he didn’t mentally show up tonight.

125 lbs: Demetrious Johnson vs. Ali Bagautinov – for flyweight title

Round 1 – Leg kick inside from Johnson. Couple more kicks from Johnson. Big body kick from Ali. Leg kick from Johnson. Lots of feinting. Leg kick Johnson. Ali swings big, Johnson avoids. Leg kick Johnson. Ali shoots in, stuffed. He presses Johnson to the cage. Ali catches the leg of Johnson, lets it go. Knee from Johnson, again. More knees from Johnson. Ali still pressing him to the cage, lands some knees of his own. Nice knee to the body from Ali. Couple big knees to the body from Johnson. Thai plum and knee from Johnson. Ali gets a slam takedown before the bell but Johnson pops right up. PMN sees it 10-9 Johnson.

Round 2 – Leg kick Johnson, again. Johnson shoots, stuffed, lands a knee to the body. Ali turns him to the cage, but Johnson gets the Thai plum and lands knees. Leg kick Johnson, avoids the counter. DJ changing stances. Leg kick inside from DJ. Head kick from DJ. Leg kick. Jab, leg kick from DJ. Leg kick inside, then outside. Inside again. Overhand right from DJ lands solid. Ali counters with a right. High kick from Ali. Ali gets a body lock and presses Johnson to the cage. DJ with underhooks, landing some knees. Ali with a couple knees of his own. DJ with more knees. Ali drops levels for a takedown attempt, takes some elbows to the head. Jumping knee in the clinch from DJ to the face. Lands another knee to the face. Johnson turns him around, lands two more knees before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for DJ

Round 3 – Leg kick Johnson. Again, inside. Left hand from DJ, scores a head kick. Clinch, knees to the body from Johnson. They wrestle in the clinch against the cage. Thai plum and knees from DJ. They separate and square back up. Big body kick from DJ. They trade right hooks. Trade inside leg kicks. Inside leg kick from DJ. Outside leg kick. Inside. Big body lock slam from Ali, Johnson springs right back up though and lands some knees in the clinch. Couple body shots from Ali. Johnson lands some knees in the clinch. Defends a takedown, lands more knees and elbows before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for Johnson

Round 4 – Matt Hume just told DJ to “put him in the Matrix”! Awww shit. Leg kick DJ. Another. Head kick scores. Leg kick. Johnson shoots, stuffed, grabs a Thai clinch and lands knees and elbows on his way up!! LOL That’s the Matrix!! Johnson looking for the KO it seems. Leg kick from DJ. Again, inside. Body kick from Johnson. Big leg kick. Shoots, stuffed, knee to the face on the way up! Body kick from Ali. Johnson slips on a kick, Ali tries to tag him with a big right on the way up, just misses. Big knee to the body from DJ. Ali presses him to the cage. Thai plum and knees from DJ. Lands a couple to the face. Right hook and more knees from DJ, he takes Ali’s back before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 for DJ… Ali very slow to get up.

Round 5 – They hug… awwww. Now knock someone the f**** out! That’s probably what the crowd is thinking. Johnson shoots, stuffed, grabs a Thai plum and lands knees. They slug it out in the pocket for a moment before Ali shoots in for a single against the cage. Thai plum and knees from DJ. Punches, more knees. Ali almost muscles him the ground as DJ screams out for a moment. Seems okay. Ali tags Johnson during a flurry but he seems fine. High kick and side kick from DJ. Ali presses him to the cage. They throw punches before Ali clinches up again. PMN sees it as a complete shutout 5 rounds to nothing.
