Should you check out UFC 174 on Saturday night? Absolutely. Below are the top three reasons to watch on Saturday night:

  1. Demetrious Johnson
  2. The co-main event
  3. The return of former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovksi

Anytime you can watch one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world in action you should tune in. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is arguably the fastest guy in MMA and has some of the most exciting fights out there. However, not only that, the small guy finishes fights as well. He has finished his last two opponents in impressive fashion while defending his title.

The co-main event between Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley could certainly put the winner in line to fight for the title next with an impressive performance. MacDonald is the more well-rounded fighter, but Woodley has the edge in wrestling and KO power. Can MacDonald keep the fight on the feet and take advantage of his cardio edge while picking Woodley apart from range? Or will Woodley impose his will with his wrestling and land some devastating ground and pound on the ground to put MacDonald away to make an emphatic statement?

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is one of the fan favorites who hasn’t fought in the UFC since a TKO win over Jake O’Brien at UFC 82. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was the UFC interim heavyweight champion the last time Arlovski fought in the UFC just to give you some perspective. Arlovski isn’t the fighter he used to be and he’ll be the underdog in the fight against Schaub. However, maybe Schaub does has a suspect chin and maybe Arlovski can rekindle some of that old magic on Saturday night?
