UFC officials have announced that they will be returning to the “Land of the Rising Sun” on September 21. A heavyweight bout between Roy Nelson and Mark Hunt will headline the event in a five round affair at the Saitama Super Arena.
This event will air via the UFC Fight Pass subscription service.
Nelson (20-9) is coming off a first round KO win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in his last outing in April. The hard hitting heavyweight was coming off back-to-back losses, but has won four of his last six with all four wins coming via TKO/KO.
Hunt (9-8-1) is coming off a majority draw decision against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in his last outing in December. Hunt was coming off a KO loss against Junior dos Santos, but has won “Fight of the Night” in his last two fights.
