Daniel Bryan is out as every wrestling fan knows due to real life neck surgery and the lengthy healing process. They are playing it up kayfabe, or in character, in their current story lines with Stephanie McMahon asking him to give up the belt.
Now, Lordsofpain.net is reporting that a new advertisement for WWE’s June 24th SmackDown tapings in Pittsburgh lists a match with Daniel Bryan and The Shield vs. Randy Orton and The Wyatt Family. This is a televised show so it is a forgone conclusion that this is significant.
This could mean one of two things. Daniel Bryan is champion and most likely feuding with Randy Orton or Daniel Bryan loses the title and is involved in a feud with Orton as a co-main event attraction. Many have speculated across wrestling insider sites that the WWE is wanting John Cena as champion or to make yet another attempt at having Randy Orton as the face of the company. Neither one of those scenarios is what the WWE universe wants if you follow popular internet forums. That would be a disaster and I firmly believe that John Cena will get even more boos, enough so that it would rival a heel, or bad guy.
