Bellator_120_official_event_posterThis Saturday Bellator will be having its first ever Pay-Per-View! Due to an Eddie Alvarez concussion, the main event is now Rampage vs King Mo and Chandler will be fighting Will Brooks for the Interim Lightweight Championship!

Ricky Rainey vs Michael Page

I am very excited to see Michael Page fighting for Bellator again! Page last defeated Ramdan Mohamed via rear naked choke, while Rainey defeated Andy Murad by tko. Rainey prefers to stand and strike, which is a mistake against a gifted striker like Page. Page shows many different angles when striking but sometimes leaves his hands at his waist. I’m going with Page on this one!

Result: Michael Page wins via 1st rnd TKO

Blagoi Ivanov vs Alexander Volkov

Ivanov submitted Lavar Johnson in his last fight, while Volkov knocked out Mighty Mo with a vicious head kick. Volkov certainly has the ability to pick almost anyone apart from the outside, but he rarely does this. Volkov loves the knockout and will be looking for it against Ivanov. Ivanov is a well-rounded fighter but has less experience than Volkov. I’ve picked against Ivanov before, but I don’t plan to this time. Ivanov will become the heavyweight tournament winner by wearing down and submitting Volkov.

Result: Ivanov wins via 2nd rnd submission

Alexander Shlemenko vs Tito Ortiz

Shlemenko is moving up in weight to fight the one and only Tito Ortiz. Shlemenko is a well-rounded fighter but uses his striking particularly well. Ortiz, as everyone knows, will be looking to take Shlemenko down and ground and pound him. Shlemenko will be at a size disadvantage in this fight, Ortiz needs to recognize this and try to use his wrestling to wear him down early. Shlemenko should try to keep out of grappling range and use his excellent striking.

Result: Shlemenko wins via unanimous decision

Michael Chandler vs Will Brooks

Brooks defeated Alexander Sarnavskiy to earn a shot at this lightweight interim title. Chandler was supposed to be fighting Eddie Alvarez but an injury forced this match up to happen instead. I just don’t see a way Will Brooks can beat Chandler. Chandler is just better pretty much everywhere in this fight.

Result: Michael Chandler wins via 1st rnd TKO

King Mo vs Rampage Jackson

Rampage has been on a tear since entering Bellator, knocking out both Joey Beltran and, Christian M’Pumbu. King Mo defeated Mikhail Zayats but lost to Emanuel Newton before that. King Mo has not looked very impressive since entering Bellator, while Rampage has looked like he’s returned to form. King Mo’s wrestling just hasn’t looked as sharp and explosive as it used to be. Rampage’s power punches should make this a short night for King Mo.

Result: Rampage wins via 2nd rnd TKO
