UFC officials have announced a light heavyweight scrap for the upcoming UFC 174 PPV event that’s set for June 14 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Ovince St. Preux has agreed to take on Ryan Jimmo in a battle between two fighters trying to make headway in a crowded light heavyweight division. This fight will be the first fight shown on the PPV portion of the card.

UFC 174 will be headlined by the UFC flyweight title fight between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger Ali Bagautinov. The co-main event will feature a welterweight number one contender fight between Tyron Woodley and Canada’s Rory MacDonald.

St. Preux (15-5) is coming off a quick submission win in his last outing at UFC 171. It was his third consecutive win in the UFC since coming over from the defunct Strikeforce promotion.

Jimmo (19-3) is coming off an impressive KO win over Sean O’Connell which earned him a “Performance of the Night” award. Jimmo is now (3-2) inside the Octagon and will look for one of the biggest wins of his career against a surging fighter in St. Preux.
