Bill Conley (7-1) kicked things off on the 168th episode of BluegrassMMA Live talking about his return to action this weekend. Conley’s last fight was in February 2012. The following month a tornado leveled his hometown of West Liberty and he suddenly found himself without anywhere to train. Fast forward two years and he now has a brand new gym and with a couple of grappling competitions under his blue belt he is ready for a fight. He will meet Jason Perry this Saturday in Campton for Xtreme Fighting Champions.

Turf Wars 17 became one of the best events of 2014 and a big part of that was the main event between Brandon Sandefur and Charles Stanford. Charlie joined us to talk about the win. He admitted he wasn’t 100% but he took the fight because it was the week of his late trainer’s birthday. The night before he was to be in the main event he learned that his Aunt had passed away. With lots of emotion he was able to finish the bout in less than two minutes for his fifth professional win. He talked about his performance and an upcoming bout with Chris Wright in May.

Aaron Garrett has quickly become a friend to BluegrassMMA. We know him mostly for his role with IT Fight Series but before his matchmaking career took off he was a fighter himself. He fights next weekend at E.A.C. 6 in Ohio against Jeremie, not Jermaine, Elkins. During the chat “Big Elk” joined us to talk about the respect shared.

Tyler Voth left Lexington last October to train at one of the top gyms in the country at Team Alpha Male. Tyler talks about the transition and about his upcoming Resurrection Fighting Alliance debut. Sadly, Voth will not be riding the mechanical bull after weigh-ins.

Closing things out was RFA’s Daniel “The Snake” Aguiar. This is a must listen as he talks about seeing snow for the first time, his world travels and his constricting style of fighting. Enjoy!
