We posted on Tuesday that a featherweight scrap between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens would main event the UFC San Antonio card that will take place on June 28 in San Antonio.
UFC officials have announced the co-main event today. A welterweight scrap between TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum and Nico Musoke will get a chance to shine in the co-main event.
The UFC San Antonio event will take place at the AT&T Center and will air on FOX Sports 1.
Gastelum (8-0) kept his perfect record intact by earning a close split decision win over Rick Story at UFC 171. Gastelum has won all three of his UFC fights, and both of his welterweight fights since winning the reality show as a middleweight.
Musoke (12-2) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Viscardi Andrade at UFC Fight Night 36. The Swedish born fighter won his UFC debut against Alessio Sakara via first round armbar submission.
