UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is in dire need of a credible opponent in his next matchup and it looks like that person has finally been found. UFC number one women’s bantamweight contender Cat Zingano appeared on the “Inside MMA” show and stated that she hopes to return to action this summer to fight Ronda Rousey for the title.

Zingano earned the title shot and a chance to coach “The Ultimate Fighter” by defeating Miesha Tate in April 2013, but suffered a knee injury that required surgery and forced her to withdraw from the bout. She hasn’t fought since which allowed Miesha Tate to snatch the coaching gig and subsequently fight Ronda Rousey this past December.
