The second event of 2014 is here for Bellator MMA and tonight is the night for the heavyweights to start their climb to a tournament finale to go along with a title fight. Bellator 111 takes place at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. and will feature five heavyweight fights. The headliners tonight will be Eduardo Dantas and Anthony Leone as Dantas defends his bantamweight title.

Play by Play

Alexander Volkov vs. Mark Holata

Round 1- The main card begins as these two juggernauts square off. Holata immediately stuns Volkov with a short straight and then they clinch up. Volkov landing hard shots up against the cage while Holata looks for the take-down. Volkov continues to pepper the beard of Holata and then rocks him with more short but powerful left hands. Holata falls to the canvas and Volkov jumps into mount, landing a barrage of punches to get the finish.

Peter Graham vs. Mighty Mo

Round 1- These two K-1 level strikers touch gloves and get things started. Graham looking to work the leg kicks early and pump the jab. Mo shoots on a sloppy double leg and they end up in the clinch. Graham lands some knees to the body and they break. Graham controlling the range and landing tons of powerful leg kicks, trying to chop Mo down. Mo returns fire with a huge overhand right that barely skims the chin of Graham. Graham continues to land combinations ending with chopping leg kicks. Mo Doubles up the left hook and stuns Graham momentarily. The Aussie recovers and continues the onslaught to the legs. Round comes to a close with Mo looking tired. ProMMANow scores the round 10-9 for Graham.

Round 2- Mo shoots for a single leg take-down and after a struggle to complete it, he gets Peter to the canvas in full guard. Mo looks to work some ground and pound as Graham attempts to shrimp out and get back to his feet, which he eventually does. Graham clearly the fresher and faster fighter now. Graham goes right back to attacking the legs of Mo. Mo slowly wading in huge bombs that hit nothing but wind. Graham lands a beautiful front kick to the face but Mo keeps moving forward. Mo trying to check the kicks now and catches a kick to complete another take-down. Mo works his way to side control and finishes the round looking for an Americana. ProMMANow scores Round 2 10-9 for Graham

Round 3- Mo immediately looking for another take-down and completes the single leg again. Looking to set up the Americana but Graham defends wisely. Mo clearly exhausted at this point but he is able to control Graham on the canvas. While in side-control, Mo looks for a custom arm-triangle variation and Graham taps out in seconds.

Ryan Martinez vs. Lavar Johnson

Round 1- Something tells me this one isn’t going the distance. These big boys touch gloves and things are under way. Martinez shoots in early and gets Lavar up against the cage. Johnson reverses position momentarily but then Martinez lands a nice trip. Martinez landing blows from the half-guard of Lavar. Johnson defending the heavy punches well but cant get out of half-guard as Martinez lands powerful hammer-fists. Martinez passes to side-control and Johnson spins out to his knees. Martinez looks for a guillotine but Lavar gets back to his feet and immediately presses forward with huge punches. Lavar throwing everything but the kitchen sink and lands a devastating left hook that drops Martinez to the floor. Lavar pounces and leaves Martinez unconscious to claim the KO victory.

Anthony Leone vs. Champion Eduardo Dantas – Bantamweight Title

Round 1- The main event gets underway and the champion Dantas takes the center of the cage. Dantas throws a front kick and Leone catches it and secures a take-down early. Leone in the full guard of Dantas, landing peppering shots. Dantas shifting his hips looking to threaten with an arm-bar but Leone defends well. Dantas avoiding damage and continues to throw up submission attempts. Dantas really looking for the arm-bar but Leone controls the position nicely. Leone landing elbows in the closed guard of Dantas as the bell rings. ProMMANow scores the round 10-9 for Leone.

Round 2- Dantas pumping the jab early and minding the distanc, sticking the jab in the face of Leone and utilizing great head movement. Leone shoots again but unable to complete the take-down. Dantas out-classing Leone with the hands, the jab causing damage to Leone now. Leone comes in with a combo to get close enough to shoot, but the balance of Dantas is too much to handle. Dantas defends the the grappling attack of Leone and in the midst of the scramble, Dantas brilliantly takes the back of Leone and lands a rear naked choke while trapping the left arm of Leone with his hooks. Leone has no choice but to tap.

Official Decision: Eduardo Dantas defeats Anthony Leone via Rear Naked Choke at 2:04 in Round 2 to retain the bantamweight title
