After getting a leg kick checked by Chris Weidman at UFC 168, former long-reigning UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva‘s shin was snapped in half. “The Spider” fell to the ground in agony and was rushed immediately into surgery. As far as if Silva could ever regain the middleweight crown, it’s hard to imagine at this point — especially considering he’s already 38-years-old. It seems Weidman has his number. But only time will tell if Silva can reclaim even a fraction of his former glory.

All signs are pointing to the probability that Silva will at least make some sort of return to the Octagon. UFC President Dana White Tweeted on Friday that the former pound-for-pound king will be walking without crutches in 30 days:

What do you think? Should Anderson return to fighting, or do you feel his legacy is solidified and he should go ahead and retire?
