A flyweight bout is set for UFC Fight Night 35 that takes place in Georgia next month. Alp Ozkilic will make his sophomore appearance under the UFC banner and meet newcomer Louis Smolka.
With his last four fights with Philippines based Pacific Xtreme Combat, Smolka rides a six fight winning streak into his promotional debut. All six professional fights have ended with a stoppage as four have come by way of submission. Known as “Da Last Samurai”, Smolka has only been a professional since April 2012.
It was a successful debut for Alptekin Ozkilic when he edged Darren Uyenoyama at UFC on FOX 9 with a split decision win. The flyweight has now notched four straight wins. His only loss came at the hands of Chico Camus last April in Indianapolis for Legends of Fighting Championship.
UFC Fight Night 35 goes down on January 15th . Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA will hold the event that is being headlined by middleweights Costatinos Philppou and Luke Rockhold. The main card will air on FOX Sports 1.
