December 9, 2013 – ROAD Fighting Championship announces a full schedule for 2014 that will feature 15 events in Seoul, across South Korea, and Japan.  To broadcast all of these events in Korea and to procure international distribution, ROAD FC has secured a partnership with South Korea’s largest media conglomerate, CJ E&M.
ROAD FC has experienced remarkable and rapid growth since the very first ROAD FC event was held in October of 2010.  In 2011, ROAD FC held four major shows and expanded into the iconic Jangchung Gymnasium.  In 2012, ROAD FC started the amateur and semi-pro Central and Into Leagues, and held events not just in Seoul, but across Korea to Wonju and south to Busan.
This year, 2013, ROAD FC expanded the fighter roster by signing many international fighters such as Joachim Hansen, Sokoudjou, Michihiro Omigawa, Issei Tamura, and Riki Fukuda.  The legendary MMA icon Minowaman had his 100th fight at ROAD FC 13.  Lightweight and Bantamweight Tournaments yielded ROAD FC Champions from thrilling battles: Nam Yui-Chul twice met and defeated Kume Takasuke, and Lee Kil-Woo closely edged out Min Jung-Song.  ROAD FC fighters also represented abroad in Japan, Singapore, and Kazakhstan.  The ROAD FC Official Gym opened in Seoul as the largest and most well-equipped MMA training facility.
ROAD FC was founded to revive the South Korean Mixed Martial Arts.  ROAD FC accomplished this goal and has gone beyond it, to usher in a new era of MMA in Asia.  Now the growth is driving ROAD FC.  To keep up with the demand and provide more opportunities for both Korean fighters and the influx of foreign fighters, ROAD FC will shortly be releasing the details of the new monthly ROAD FC event to be held in Seoul.  In 2014, ROAD FC will hold 15 major professional MMA events that will be broadcast live in South Korea and streamed live internationally.
ROAD FC’s partnership with CJ E&M will continue the broadcast in South Korea and look to expand it on an international scale.  CJ E&M is South Korea’s biggest media conglomerate, incorporating broadcasting assets CJ Media and On Media; CJ Entertainment (film); Mnet Media (music); plus gamers O Media Holdings and CJ Internet. CJ E&M is a subsidiary of CJ Corporation, one of the leading South Korean companies in the food, pharmacy, finance and home shopping industries.  CJ has built up global competitiveness over the last forty years and is vigorously entering into major regions of the world based on experience and capability, penetrating into the global market throughout Japan, China, Europe, the U.S. and South America (especially Brazil).
