Ray Sefo and his World Series of Fighting are gearing up for their seventh event this weekend but WSOF 8 now has a a time and place. Hollywood , Florida will play host to the event and the main event will featured a lightweight championship fight.
Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante will look to even the score when he meets undefeated Justin Gaethje. The pair met at WSOF 2 but the fight was stopped when Cavalcante sustained a cut the first round that ended the fight. He bounced back at WSOF 4 with a win over Tyson Griffin.
Gaethje is undefeated inside the promotion. He has noteable wins over Dan Lauzon and Brian Cobb. Sitting at 10-0 in his young career, Gaethje has been impressive during the streak with only one fight going to the judges.
Also slated for the main card is a fight that has been booked twice before as Mike Kyle may finally get to face Anthony Johnson in a lightweight affair.They were supposed to fight at WSOF 5 but Johnson was forced off due to injury. The fight was rescheduled for WSOF 7 this weekend but Kyle broke his toe. Hopefully they both remain healthy and this comes to be.
