According to MMAFighting.com, Mark Hunt has verbally agreed to face Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva on December 21st in Australia.

The ‘Super Samoan’ Hunt is looking to rebound from a loss to former Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 160 and rediscover the torrid pace that brought him within one win of a title shot. Further complicating Hunt’s return to the Octagon is a monster staph infection that left the 39 year old New Zealander with a hole in his leg the size of a small crater. By all accounts Hunt is out of the woods medically, but health and age will undoubtedly play a role in the contest.

Silva also enters this matchup on a losing note, having dropped his last fight to current champion Cain Velasquez; however, (T)KO finishes over Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne have kept the Brazilian, at the least, in the periphery of the heavyweight title picture.

Given the already busy UFC December lineup, it’s likely that stateside fight fans will be able to catch the scale-tipping matchup for free on Fox Sports 1, as the network continues working to establish itself as a major player in the MMA broadcast game.
