dan hendersonUFC officials have officially announced a light heavyweight matchup between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort that’s slated to take place in Brazil on November 9 at Ultimate Fight Night 32.

The two fighters met in 2006 under the PRIDE banner with Henderson taking the decision win.

Belfort (23-10) has won back-to-back fights since losing to Jon Jones at UFC 152. Those fights have taken place in the middleweight division, but Belfort will now move back up to fight Henderson who has been fighting at light heavyweight for the past few years.

Henderson (29-10) is coming off a split decision loss to former champion Rashad Evans at UFC 157. The former champion has lost razor close back-to-back split decision losses in his last two fights and arguably won both contests. Henderson was last in the win column at UFC 139 against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in an epic fight for the ages.

The Ultimate Fight Night 32 event is set to air on FOX Sports 1.
