John Prisco and the XFC make their way west for their 25th event September 6th in Albuquerque New Mexico. The event is headlined by the first women’s title fight in the company’s history. Angela Magana will tangle with Stephanie Eggink live on AXS Tv. Tonight we will welcome in welterweights Ryan Thomas and Ian Stephens as well as flyweight Joby Sanchez.
Thomas is on a roll. A winner in his last four fights including a co-main event win over Corey Hill in Nashville he is looking to establish himself as the top contender. Stephens sits at 4-0 and just recently signed with the promotion however he has won both his fights under the XFC banner. We will talk with both men about the match-up and where they are going from here.
The 2012 XFC open fighter tryout winner Joby Sanchez will join us. Originally he was set to face Eric Moell in Louisville at XFC 23 but an injury kept him out. Now Moell will travel to Albuquerque , Sanchez’s backyard, for the flyweight bout. Joby was impressive in his promotional debut as he defeated Moell’s teammate Chris Dunn in the first round. We chat with the Chavez Dojo product about what he’s been doing since Knoxcille and more.
