Invicta FC women’s strawweight champ Carla Esparza (9-2) has been forced to withdraw from her upcoming Invicta FC 6 matchup against Ayaka Hamasaki due to a leg injury.
Claudia Gadelha (9-0) has agreed to step in and fight Hamasaki in the co-main event.
Gadelha was originally slated to face Joanne Calderwood, but now Calderwood will face newcomer Sarah Schneider (6-0) on the Invicta FC 6 card.
The main event will feature the inaugural Invicta FC featherweight title fight between Cris Cyborg (11-1, 1NC) and Marloes Coenen (21-5). The bout will be a rematch from a 2010 bout in which Cyborg won via third round TKO.
