[ads1]ufc 162We have the upcoming UFC 161 event that’s set for this Saturday night in Canada, but there’s huge event coming up less than a month away.

The UFC 162 PPV event is set for fourth of July weekend in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 6. UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-4) returns to the Octagon in the main event to face undefeated No. 1 contender Chris Weidman (9-0).

In addition, the week of July 4 will also feature the UFC Fan Expo and Fight Week, a series of fan events, concerts and appearances from UFC fighters and personalities.

Also on the UFC 162 card, former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar (15-4-1) returns at featherweight against Brazil’s Charles Oliveira (16-3, 1 NC), and former Strikeforce middleweights Tim Kennedy (15-4) and Roger Gracie (6-1) will battle in their UFC debuts.

“The Korean Zombie,” Chan Sung Jung (13-3) returns from the injury list to meet No. 2 ranked featherweight Ricardo Lamas (13-2) in a fight that could have title implications in the near future. Cub Swanson (19-5) faces Germany’s Dennis Siver (21-8) in a featherweight showdown, and middleweight Mark Munoz(12-3) takes on the always dangerous Tim Boetsch (12-3).

Other bouts on the UFC 162 card include:
