A new bout has been formed for the UFC on FOX 8 card as Robbie Lawler’s (10-9) opponent Tarec Saffiedine (14-3) has suffered an injury, which has forced him to withdraw from their scheduled matchup.

Siyar Bahadurzada (21-5-1) has stepped in as a replacement and now faces Lawler at UFC on FOX 8, which takes place at the Key Arena in Seattle, Wash., on July 27.

UFC officials announced the change earlier today.

UFC on FOX 8 will feature a headline bout between current UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and title challenger John Moraga. The main card will air LIVE on FOX with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.

Siyar Bahadurzada last fought at UFC on FUEL TV 8 in March, where he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Dong Hyun “Stun Gun” Kim. That loss snapped a seven fight winning streak he had been on, defeating notable fighters such as Leandro Silva, John Alessio and Paulo Thiago. Afghan native Bahadurzada will now look to bounce back from his last fight with a big victory over Lawler on July 27.

Robbie Lawler was last in action at UFC 157 in February, where he scored a first round TKO victory over Josh Koscheck. Prior to that he dropped a unanimous decision loss against Lorenz Larkin at “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy” in July 2012. That loss followed a first round TKO win over Adlan Amagov at “Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine” in January 2012. Lawler now has the chance to begin a new winning streak with a good performance against Bahadurzada.
