The legend of Vitor Belfort continues to grow.
Belfort welcomed Luke Rockhold to the UFC, but ended his time in the octagon just as quickly as it started, landing a spinning back kick and a series of punches to punctuate a stunning performance in the main even of UFC on FX 8.
Luke Rockhold took the center of the cage but approached with caution as he looked to use his range to control the action to start. Belfort found his way inside on several occasions flurrying with his uncanny speed and power. Rockhold started to taunt Belfort when it happened.
Belfort unleashed a blistering spinning back kick that sent Rockhold reeling to the canvas. Once there Belfort pounced, landing a flurry of shots that left Rockhold unconscious on the mat at the 2:32 mark of the bout.
The stunning finish by Vitor Belfort (23-10 MMA, 12-6 UFC), extends his win streak to two, with both wins coming via stoppage since his loss to Jon Jones at UFC 152.
