The UFC 161 event has a new fight due to another injury to a UFC fighter. TJ Waldburger has had to withdraw from his UFC 161 scheduled bout with Sean Pierson.

UFC welterweight Kenny Robertson has agreed to step in on short notice to face Pierson.

UFC 161 is set for June 15 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Canada, and will be headlined by the UFC interim bantamweight bout between champion Renan Barao and challenger Eddie Wineland.

The co-main event will feature a light heavyweight bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Robertson (12-2) is coming off a first round submission win over Brock Jardine at UFC 157, taking home “Submission of the Night” honors for the first time.

Pierson (13-6) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Lance Benoist at UFC 152. Pierson has won back-to-back fights and is (3-2) in the UFC overall. This fight is expected to take place on the preliminary portion of the card that will air on Facebook.
