[ads1]roy nelson ufc 159The UFC 159 event took place on Saturday night from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Jon Jones defended his UFC light heavyweight title by defeating Chael Sonnen via first round TKO.

Michael Bisping defeated Alan Belcher and Roy Nelson destroyed Cheick Kongo. There will be some interesting matchups moving forward, and we’ll do our best to predict them(which I’ve become pretty good at).

Jon Jones: Jones should fight the winner of the potential Alexander Gustafsson/Lyoto Machida fight.

Chael Sonnen: He should probably retire.

Michael Bisping: Bisping continues to be the ultimate gatekeeper. If Luke Rockhold gets past Vitor Belfort it would be a good fight for both fighters.

Roy Nelson: He should face Daniel Cormier if Cormier stays at heavyweight, if not, Mark Hunt.

Phil Davis: He needs more experience and needs to fight another top light heavyweight since Vinny Magalhaes was a waste of a fight in terms of beating a high caliber opponent. Ryan Bader was supposed to fight at UFC 160 but withdrew with an injury. He should return late summer/early fall.  Let him face Davis.

Pat Healy: Excellent win over Jim Miller. A bout with another top 10 fighter should be on deck. The fight with Gilbert Melendez that was set to take place a few months ago that never came to fruition should be next.

Sara McMann: Nice UFC debut win over McMann. She’s not ready to face Ronda Rousey yet. So any of the new women bantamweights would suffice.
