A new bout has been formed for the Invicta FC 5 card as Julia Budd (4-2) now faces Mollie Estes (1-1) with Veronica Rothenhausler (1-0) forced to withdraw from the fight due to an injury. The event is set to take place at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City on April 5.

Invicta FC officials confirmed the new matchup today via official press release.

Invicta FC 5 will feature a headline bout between current Invicta FC atomweight champion Jessica Penne and title challenger Michelle Waterson. Also on the card, Cris Cyborg will make her highly-anticipated Invicta FC debut against rising star Fiona Muxlow. The event is expected to air LIVE via online PPV.

Julia Budd is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Danielle West via first round TKO at Invicta FC 3 in October 2012. Prior to that she scored a first round TKO victory over Elina Nilsson at Invicta FC 2 in July 2012. Her most recent loss was against current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at “Strikeforce – Challengers 20” in November 2011, where she suffered a first round defeat. Julia now has the chance to extend her winning streak to three with a good performance against Estes.

Mollie Estes last fought at Invicta FC 1 in April 2012, where she dropped a third round TKO loss against Randi Miller. Prior to that she scored a unanimous decision victory over Lacie Jackson at Freestyle Cage Fighting 49 in October 2011. Estes will no doubt look to take a big step up the featherweight ladder with a big win over Budd on April 5.
